Masjid Indonesia Pertama di Yokohama Mulai Dibangun

SEAToday.com, Yokohama - Sekelompok Warga Negara Indonesia (WNI) di Jepang yang tergabung dalam Cinta Quran Foundation secara resmi telah memulai pembangunan Masjid Indonesia pertama di Yokohama. Peletakan batu pertama Masjid As-Sholihin ini dilaksanakan Jumat (10/1).

“Kami berharap masjid ini tidak hanya menjadi tempat ibadah, tetapi juga pusat kegiatan sosial yang mempererat hubungan masyarakat lintas budaya di Jepang,” kata Pendiri sekaligus Dewan Pembina Cinta Quran Foundation Ustadz Fatih Karim.

Ustadz Fatih menjelaskan masjid ini akan memiliki luas bangunan 650 m2 yang dibangun di tanah seluas 397 m2. Masjid ini nantinya akan memiliki kapasitas 600 jamaah. Menurutnya, masjid ini dirancang sebagai pusat spiritual multifungsi, yang selain menjadi ruang salat, juga menyediakan mualaf center, baitul maal, halal mart dan ruang berkegiatan komunitas muslim.

“Di Jepang, semua bangunan diperhatikan, termasuk masjid kita bersama ini. Oleh karena itu masjid ini akan dibangun tiga lantai dengan bangunan modern dan tentunya nyaman untuk ibadah,” ujarnya.

Menurutnya, meski belum berdiri secara utuh namun sudah banyak mualaf yang bersyahadat di sana. “Alhamdulillah, dengan hidayah Allah, banyak warga Jepang yang akhirnya memeluk Islam di lokasi yang akan dibangun masjid ini," katanya.

Cinta Quran Foundation mengajak seluruh masyarakat untuk mendukung pembangunan masjid ini sebagai wujud kontribusi terhadap dakwah Islam di Jepang.
