SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Dua penumpang terdeteksi suspek Monkeypox (Mpox) setelah melakukan pengetatan pemeriksaan oleh petugas Balai Besar Kekarantinaan Kesehatan Soekarno Hatta.
Sebagai bentuk antisipasi, Balai Besar Kekarantinaan Kesehatan Soekarno Hatta sudah menambah petugas dokter jaga menjadi 60 orang yang bersiaga selama 24 jam.
Petugas kesehatan pun melakukan diagnosis lanjutan dengan mengambil sampel swap dan langsung memeriksanya di laboratorium mobil yang sudah disediakan di lokasi.
Dua penumpang yang dicurigai berasal dari luar negeri tersebut pun langsung diperiksa. Untungnya, hasil pemeriksaan tersebut menunjukkan hasil negatif.
Untuk mencegah penyebaran lebih lanjut, pengawasan kesehatan di Terminal 3 Internasional dan Terminal 2F Bandara Soekarno-Hatta akan terus ditingkatkan.
Sementara itu, seorang warga di Palembang, Sumatera Selatan berinisial J, menjadi suspek pertama kasus mpox setelah menjalani pemeriksaan di Puskesmas setempat.
Pasien ini pun dirawat di Puskesmas 4 Ulu, Seberang Ulu I, Kota Palembang. Pemeriksaan awal menunjukkan adanya luka koreng berwarna hitam di telapak tangan dan kaki warga tersebut.
Luka tersebut ternyata sudah dialami oleh sang pasien selama dua minggu sebelum akhirnya berkunjung ke Puskesmas.
