Gunung Semeru Alami Beberapa Kali Erupsi, Kolom Abu Capai 1.200 Meter

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Gunung Semeru di perbatasan Kabupaten Lumajang dan Malang, Jawa Timur kembali alami erupsi pada Kamis (2/1/2025) pagi selama beberapa kali.
Gunung yang memiliki ketinggian 3.676 mdpl ini erupsi beberapa kali dengan tinggi letusan 500 hingga 1.200 meter di atas puncak.
Diketahui pada pukul 00.57 WIB terjadi erupsi pertama dan visual letusan tidak teramati. Namun, erupsi itu terekam di seismograf dengan amplitudo maksimum 22 mm dan durasi 128 detik.
Kemudian, erupsi kedua terjadi pada pukul 02.41 WIB dan lagi visual letusan tidak teramati.
Erupsi ini terekam di seismograf dengan amplitudo maksimum 22 mm dan durasi 157 detik.
Selanjutnya, Gunung Semeru kembali mengalami erupsi pukul 05.05 WIB dengan kolom abu yang teramato mencapai ketinggian 500 meter di atas puncak.
Kolom abu ini teramati berwarna putih hingga kelabu dengan intensitas tebal ke arah barat daya.
Selang hampir tiga jam kemudian yakni pukul 07.57 WIB, Gunung Semeru kembali erupsi.
Tinggi kolom abu letusan sekitar 500 meter di atas puncak dan kolom abu teramati berwarna putih hingga kelabu dengan intensitas sedang ke arah barat daya.
Tidak lama berselang, yakni pukul 08.51 WIB, erupsi kembali terjadi dengan tinggi kolom abu teramati sekitar 1.200 meter di atas puncak atau 4.876 meter di atas permukaan laut (mdpl).
Gunung Semeru kembali erupsi pada pukul 10.02 WIB dengan visual letusan tidak teramati.
Hingga saat ini, Gunung Semeru masih berstatus Waspada. Ini membuat masyarakat dilarang melakukan aktivitas apa pun di sektor tenggara di sepanjang Besuk Kobokan sejauh delapan kilometer dari puncak (pusat erupsi).
