KBRI Seoul Imbau WNI Tetap Waspada Meski Darurat Militer Dicabut
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Kedutaan Besar Republik Indonesia (KBRI) di Korea Selatan mengimbau warga negara Indonesia (WNI) di Korsel untuk tetap waspada seiring dengan situasi "Darurat Militer" oleh Presiden Yoon Suk Yeol.
Akan tetapi, keputusan tersebut saat ini sudah dicabut setelah ditolak oleh parlemen dan kabinet.
"KBRI Seoul menyampaikan imbauan kepada seluruh warga negara Indonesia yang berdomisili di Korea Selatan khususnya ibukota Seoul dan sekitarnya," tulis KBRI Seoul dari unggahan Instagram resminya @indonesianseoul, Rabu (4/12/2024).
WNI diminta untuk tetap tenang, waspada, serta selalu memantau perkembangan situasi keamanan di wilayah masing-masing.
Mereka juga diminta tidak berkerumun di lokasi publik, dan menghindari kawasan National Assembly di Yeouido dan Kantor Kepresidenan di Yongsan, serta lokasi strategis lainnya.
"Dimohon untuk tidak mendekati/menonton/berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan unjuk rasa yang dilakukan pihak manapun, meskipun dilakukan secara damai atau tidak ada indikasi akan terjadi bentrokan," tulis KBRI Seoul.
WNI juga diminta untuk mematuhi hukum yang berlaku dan instruksi atau himbauan aparat keamanan setempat serta selalu membawa tanda pengenal.
"Memperhatikan dan mematuhi Dekrit Darurat Militer yang diumumkan dan konsekuensi hukum jika melanggar Dekrit dimaksud" lanjut tulisannya.

Presiden Korea Selatan Yoon Suk Yeol mengumumkan darurat militer pada Selasa (3/12/2024) malam.
Ia menuduh pihak oposisi telah menguasai parlemen, bersimpati pada Korea Utara, dan melumpuhkan pemerintah melalui kegiatan-kegiatan anti negara.
Dilansir dari Reuters, dalam laporan kantor berita Yonhap ditulis bahwa parlemen Korea Selatan secara bulat menolak pemberlakuan darurat militer. Seluruh kursi atau 190 suara di Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat (DPR) Korea Selatan menolak darurat militer.
Kabinet telah sepakat akan membatalkan darurat militer pada Rabu (4/12/2024) pagi.
