SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi stated that the Head of the Vatican City, as well as the Supreme Leader of the Catholic Church worldwide, Pope Francis, who arrived this Tuesday, will be greeted by Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Cholil Qoumas at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
"No (not picking up), it will be the Minister of Religious Affairs. I will accompany him at the meeting tomorrow," said Foreign Minister Retno when met at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Tuesday as quoted from Antara.
The Foreign Minister mentioned that she would accompany President Joko Widodo during the state visit of Pope Francis at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, followed by a meeting with the diplomatic corps at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Wednesday (9/4).
In line with that, the Archbishop of Jakarta, Ignatius Suharyo Hardjoatmodjo, stated that he, along with the Chairman of the Committee for the Visit of the Holy Father Pope Francis, Ignasius Jonan, would also head to Soekarno-Hatta Airport to welcome the arrival of Pope Francis.
Pope Francis is scheduled to arrive in Indonesia on Tuesday afternoon around 11:30 AM WIB through Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten.
