Menlu Sugiono: Indonesia Siap Bantu Redakan Konflik Pakistan-India Jika Diminta

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Menteri Luar Negeri (Menlu) Sugiono mengungkapkan Indonesia siap berperan membantu perdamaian Pakistan-India jika diminta. Menurut dia, hal itu sesuai dengan amanat konstitusi.
"Konstitusi Undang-Undang Dasar Negara Republik Indonesia Tahun 1945 (UUD 45) mengamanatkan Indonesia untuk aktif mewujudkan perdamaian dunia," kata Sugiono dalam keterangannya di Jakarta, Jumat (16/5/2025) seperti dilansir Antara.
Menlu menambahkan, Indonesia berharap konflik antara India dan Pakistan segera mereda. “Karena perang di mana pun oleh siapa pun itu tidak akan membawa manfaat,” ujarnya.
Seperti diketahui, hubungan India dan Pakistan belakangan memanas usai India meluncurkan Operasi Sindoor pada 7 Mei. India mengeklaim operasi itu menargetkan titik-titik lokasi teroris di Pakistan dan di wilayah Kashmir yang dikeola Pakistan.
Operasi tersebut dilucnurkan setelah serangan teroris di dekat kota Pahalgam, yang berada di wilayah Jammu dan Kashmir India pada 22 April. India pun menyalahkan Pakistan atas serangan tersebut.
Merespon India, Pakistan juga melancarkan operasi militer yang menargetkan 26 titi vital milik militer India. Saat ini, kedua negara itu sepakat untuk gencatan senjata sementara waktu.
“Kami berharap ketegangan itu tidak berlanjut,” kata Menlu Sugiono.
