Mount Rinjani National Park Tourism is Temporarily Closed
SEAToday.com, Mataram - Climbing and non-climbing tourist destinations in the Rinjani area are temporarily closed. This was confirmed by the Head of TNGR West Nusa Tenggara Dedy Asriady in a written statement in Mataram.
"The closure will take place from January 1 to March 31 2024," said Dedy as reported by Antara.
Several climbing routes that are closed include the Sembalun climbing route, Torean climbing route, Tete Batu climbing route, Aik Berik climbing route, Timbanum climbing route and Senaru climbing route.
Meanwhile, non-climbing destinations that are closed include Jeruk Manis Waterfall, Jeruk Manis Village, Sikur District and Mayung Polak Waterfall, Timbanuh Village, Pringgasela District, East Lombok Regency.
Next, Mangku Sakti Waterfall via Sajang Village, Sembalun District, East Lombok Regency and Sambik Elen Village, Bayan District, North Lombok Regency.
This closure itself is in accordance with the Letter of the Head of the Center for Volcanology and Geological Disaster Mitigation Number 805.Lap/GL.03/BGV/2023 dated 17 December 2023 regarding the submission of an evaluation report on Mount Rinjani's activities at Level II (Alert).
