President Prabowo Invites Foreign Investors to Build indonesia’s Infrastructure

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto has invited foreign construction companies and international investors to participate in developing Indonesia’s infrastructure.
He emphasized that infrastructure development will remain a top priority for his administration over the next five years.
"Indonesia’s vast and diverse geography has left many communities isolated. To bridge this gap, we have launched an ambitious program in partnership with the private sector," President Prabowo stated as quoted on Antara in a video conference from his residence in Hambalang, West Java, on Thursday, during the World Governments Summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The President outlined several key infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, ports, airports, energy distribution networks, and digital connectivity systems that will link Indonesians across the country.
"Digital connectivity is a particular focus, as in today’s interconnected world, communication networks are no longer a luxury but a necessity. Therefore, we are allocating the 6GHz WiFi spectrum for public services," he said as quoted on Antara.
Prabowo also announced plans to double the country’s internet capacity, ensuring that young people in remote areas have the same access to opportunities as those in the capital.
"This initiative guarantees that every Indonesian, from the most remote villages to the heart of Jakarta, has equal access to the digital economy, allowing them to learn, innovate, and prosper," the President affirmed.
The World Governments Summit is an annual high-level conference hosted by the United Arab Emirates in Dubai. The event gathers global leaders, international organizations such as the United Nations (UN), World Bank, and International Monetary Fund (IMF), along with experts from various sectors, civil society organizations, industries, and private enterprises.
First held in 2013, this year’s Indonesian delegation in Dubai was led by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto.
