Menpar Dorong Gerakan Wisata Bersih di 5 Destinasi Wisata Unggulan

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Menteri Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif, Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, mengumumkan bahwa program Gerakan Wisata Bersih (GWB) akan diterapkan secara bertahap di sejumlah destinasi wisata unggulan Indonesia. 

Peluncuran pertama program ini dilakukan di Pantai Parangtritis, Kabupaten Bantul, Yogyakarta, pada Kamis, 23 Januari 2025.

"Ke depan, program ini akan secara bertahap diterapkan di lima Destinasi Pariwisata Super Prioritas, seperti Danau Toba, Borobudur, Mandalika, Labuan Bajo, dan Likupang, serta di tiga kawasan besar lainnya, yaitu Bali, Jakarta, dan Yogyakarta-Solo-Semarang," kata Menpar dalam peluncuran tersebut, dilansir dari ANTARA News.

Gerakan Wisata Bersih bertujuan untuk membangun kebiasaan jangka panjang dalam menjaga kebersihan dan kelestarian lingkungan di kawasan wisata. 

"Harapan kami, program ini dapat menginspirasi destinasi wisata lainnya di Indonesia untuk bersama-sama menjaga kebersihan dan menjaga keberlanjutan alam," tambah Menpar.

Kemenpar membentuk Satgas Gerakan Wisata Bersih untuk memastikan kebersihan fasilitas publik, seperti toilet, yang penting untuk kualitas destinasi wisata. 

Program ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan daya saing pariwisata Indonesia, khususnya dalam aspek kebersihan dan kesehatan di Travel and Tourism Development Index (TTDI). 

Program ini juga bertujuan memberikan dampak positif bagi kebersihan dan kelestarian alam di destinasi wisata seluruh Indonesia.
