Presiden Jokowi Resmikan Gereja Raja Katedral Kupang

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) meresmikan Gereja Raja Katedral Kupang, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Jokowi berharap gereja tersebut dapat menjadi ruang dialog untuk memperkuat persatuan dan kesatuan.

Dikutip dari Antara, Jokowi juga mengungkapkan Gereja Kristus Raja Katedral Kupang direnovasi menggunakan APBN. Gereja itu sendiri rusak akibat badai seroja pada tahun 2021.

Setelah direnovasi, Gereja memiliki bangunan yang lebih luas dan dilengkapi sekretariat paroki. Tak hanya itu, Gereja ini juga memiliki menara lonceng, ruang panel, dan generator set.

Jokowi pun menyebut renovasi membuat wajah Gereja menjadi megah, indah, dan tertata rapi. Jokowi mengaku kagum dengan interior bangunan saat masuk ke dalam Gereja.
