President Joko Widodo, Iriana Jokowi Arrive at MPR/DPR Building

SEAToday.com, Jakarta-President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo was greeted by president-elect Prabowo Subianto, who will be inaugurated alongside VP-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

Moreover, VP Ma'ruf Amin and his wife, along with VP-elect Gibran and his wife, Selvi Ananda, welcomed President Jokowi as well. President Jokowi, Prabowo, and VP Ma'ruf briefly talked and smiled at one another.

Before the inauguration of the president and vice president began, President Jokowi participated in a photo session with Ma’ruf Amin, Prabowo, Gibran, and several People's Consultative Agency (MPR) officials.

The inauguration process is scheduled to start at around 10:00 western Indonesian time, where Prabowo and Gibran would take their oaths to serve as president and vice president for the 2024-2029 period.

After being inaugurated, Prabowo and Gibran will attend a series of events at the Merdeka Palace. Meanwhile, President Jokowi is scheduled to return to his hometown in Solo, Central Java, after the events at the Merdeka Palace.
