Indonesia Maju Cabinet Ministers Predicted to Join Prabowo-Gibran Government

SEAToday.com, Jakarta-A number of ministers from President Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin's Indonesia Maju Cabinet came to President-Elect Prabowo Subianto's residency in South Jakarta, Monday (10/14). The ministers are predicted to continue serving the country for the 2024-2029 period under Prabowo.

 

16 people are reported to re-enter the cabinet. Prabowo himself once explained that he might work with ministers from the Indonesia Maju Cabinet, as he has worked with them for the past 5 years.

 

The names are Sri Mulyani (Finance Minister), Agus Harimurto Yudhoyono or AHY (Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Minister), Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita (Industry Minister), Zulkifli Hasan (Trade Minister), and Pratikno (State Secretariat Minister).

 

Moreover, Erick Thohir (SOEs Minister), Rosan Roeslani (Investment Minister), Bahlil Lahadalia (Energy and Mineral Resources Minister), Airlangga Hartarto (Coordinating Minister for Economy), and Amran Sulaiman (Agriculture Minister) were also reported to join the cabinet.

 

There are also Tito Karnavian (Home Affairs Minister), Budi Gunadi Sadikin (Health Minister), Syifulah Yusuf (Social Affairs Minister), Budi Gunawan (State Intelligence Agency Chief), Abdullah Azwar Anas (State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform Minister), and Raja Juli Antoni (Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Deputy Minister).

 

However, the positions they will assume in the new governmnet are still unclear.

 

Reports stated that Prabowo-Gibran's government will have 46 ministries, with additional ministries and some others being merged together

 

The new ministries include Public Coordinator Ministry, Forestry Ministry, Maritime and Fisheries Ministry, Public Affairs Ministry, Public Housing Ministry, and Transmigration Ministry.

 

There are also Cooperatives Ministry, Tourism Ministry, Creative Economy Ministry, SMEs Ministry, Population and Family Development Ministry, Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Ministry, Education, Research, and Technology Ministry, Higher Education Ministry, and Culture Ministry.

 

Furthermore, there are Environment Ministry, Law Ministry, Human Rights Ministry, and Immigration and Correctional Ministry.

 

Prior to their inauguration as president and vice president on October 20, Prabowo-Gibran reportedly will announce the names of their ministers.
