Bali Provincial Government to Ban Bottled Water Starting February 3

SEAToday.com, Bali - The Bali Provincial Government will require workers in regional apparatus, regional-owned enterprises, and schools to bring drinking bottles and ban the use of plastic bottled water. This policy will take effect on February 3.

This is based on Circular Letter Number 2 of 2025 concerning the Implementation of Bali Governor Regulation Number 97 of 2018, which focuses on limiting the generation of disposable plastic waste.

Bali's Regional Secretary, Dewa Made Indra, said, 'This policy aims to ensure that all regional apparatus, regional-owned enterprises, and schools in Bali actually implement restrictions on the use of single-use plastics.'

In addition, he said this step was taken to realize a clean and sustainable Bali.
