National Health Insurance Participation Mandatory for Police Clearance Certificates Starting August
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Active participation in the National Health Insurance (JKN) program administered by the Health Social Security Implementation Agency (BPJS Kesehatan) is now a mandatory requirement for obtaining a Police Clearance Certificate (SKCK).
BPJS Kesehatan Public Relations Head Rizzky Anugerah stated that this policy is outlined in Indonesian National Police Regulation Number 6 of 2023 on SKCK issuance, effective August 1, 2024.
Beyond administrative compliance, this regulation signifies a collaborative effort between BPJS Kesehatan and the Indonesian National Police to implement Presidential Instruction Number 1 of 2002.
Furthermore, this step aligns with the 2020-2024 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) target of achieving 98 percent JKN membership coverage among the total population.
