Transportation Minister Targets Airport in Nusantara to Operate on August 1

SEAToday.com, Nusantara - Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi said that the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) Airport is targeted to be operational on August 1. This was conveyed when the Transportation Minister inspected the progress of airport construction, Monday (3/6).

"For the runway and terminal building, the changes are significant and clearly visible, compared to when I was last here at the end of April. This progress is certainly very encouraging," he said.

Furthermore, the progress of the airport's physical work has covered several aspects such as steel work, plumbing installations, roofing, and others.

Sumadi also mentioned that the airport will be tested in July and ready to be operated to commemorate the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17.
