Profil Arifatul Choiri Fauzi, Menteri PPPA di Kabinet Merah Putih
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Presiden Prabowo Subianto menunjuk Arifatul Choiri Fauzi sebagai Menteri Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak (PPPA). Arifatul resmi dilantik di Istana Negara, Jakarta, Senin, 21 Oktober 2024.
Arifatul adalah satu dari lima menteri perempuan di Kabinet Merah Putih. Ia pernah menjabat sebagai Wakil Ketua Tim Kampanye Nasional (TKN) Prabowo-Gibran pada Pilpres 2024.
Arifatul Choiri Fauzi lahir di Madura, 28 Juli 1969. Ia merupakan tokoh Muslimat Nahdlatul Ulama (NU).
Dalam organisasi tersebut, ia menjabat sebagai Sekretaris Umum Pengurus Pusat Muslimat Nahdlatul Ulama (PP Muslimat NU). Ia juga aktif sebagai anggota Komisi Informasi dan Komunikasi Majelis Ulama Indonesia (Infokom MUI).
Pada 2007, Arifatul menerbitkan buku bertajuk "Kabar-Kabar Kekerasan dari Bali." Buku ini membahas peran media masa dalam pemberitaan peristiwa Bom Bali.
