Prabowo Hadiri Konferensi Tanggap Darurat Gaza di Yordania
SEAToday.com, Amman-Menteri Pertahanan RI Prabowo Subianto akan menghadiri konferensi tingkat tinggi "Call for Action: Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza" (Seruan untuk Bertindak: Tanggap Darurat Kemanusiaan untuk Gaza) pada Selasa, 11 Juni 2024 di Yordania.
Mewakili Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Prabowo tiba di Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), Amman, Yordania, Senin, 10 Juni 2024. Saat tiba, Prabowo disambut oleh Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs Ibrahim Mashhour Al Jazi dan Atase Pertahanan (Athan) RI untuk Mesir di Kairo Kolonel Kav Aria Sanggita Saleh.
Kedatangan Prabowo atas undangan yang disampaikan melalui surat dari President of the Arab Republic of Egypt H.E. Mr. Abdel Fattah El Sisi, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan H.E. Mr. Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, dan Secretary-General of the United Nations H.E. Mr. Antonio Guterres kepada Presiden RI Joko Widodo pada 30 Mei 2024.
KTT ini digelar bersama Kerajaan Hasyimiyah Yordania, Republik Arab Mesir, dan Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa di Yordania.
Konferensi tersebut dilaksanakan sehubungan dengan seruan gencatan senjata di Gaza. Ini bertujuan agar para kepala negara dapat mengidentifikasi cara-cara untuk memperkuat tanggapan komunitas internasional terhadap bencana kemanusiaan yang sedang berlangsung.
Dengan kehadiran perwakilan dari Pemerintah Indonesia dalam konferensi ini, diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam upaya bersama mengatasi krisis kemanusiaan di Gaza.
