SEAToday.com, Jakarta-Kementerian Luar Negeri (Kemlu) RI memastikan tidak ada Warga Negara Indonesia (WNI) yang terdampak turbulensi parah yang dialami pesawat Singapore Airlines, Selasa, 21 Mei 2024. Insiden tersebut menyebabkan seorang penumpang tewas.
Pesawat dengan nomor penerbangan SQ321 tersebut mengalami turbulensi parah saat melakukan perjalanan dari London, Inggris menuju Singapura pada Senin, 20 Mei 2024. Pesawat kemudian dialihkan ke Bangkok dan mendarat pada pukul 15.45 waktu setempat pada Selasa, 21 Mei 2024.
"KBRI Bangkok telah berkoordinasi dengan otoritas setempat, tidak ada WNI yang menjadi korban dalam insiden turbulensi yang dialami pesawat Singapore Airlines," kata Direktur Perlindungan WNI dan BHI Kemlu RI Judha Nugraha melalui pesan singkat, Selasa malam, dilansir Antara.
Menurut keterangan di akun resmi Singapore Airlines di X, maskapai tersebut mengatakan terdapat korban luka dan satu korban jiwa di dalam pesawat Boeing 777-300ER itu.
Singapore Airlines juga menyampaikan belasungkawa sedalam-dalamnya kepada keluarga korban meninggal dunia. Saat ini, prioritas mereka adalah memberikan semua bantuan yang memungkinkan kepada semua penumpang dan awak pesawat.
