⁠Geger Suami Mutilasi Istri di Ciamis, Polisi Periksa Kejiwaan Pelaku

SEAToday.com, Jakarta-Kasus suami mutilasi istri membuat geger masyarakat di Dusun Sindangjaya, Desa Cisontrol, Kecamatan Rancah, Ciamis, Jumat, 3 Mei 2024. Usai insiden tersebut, Kepolisian Resor Ciamis menyiapkan tim untuk memeriksa lebih lanjut kondisi kejiwaan tersangka pelaku.

"Sementara masih menunggu pemeriksaan kejiwaan pelaku," kata Kepala Kepolisian Resor Ciamis AKBP Akmal saat dihubungi melalui telepon seluler di Ciamis, Sabtu, dilansir Antara.

Ia menjelaskan bahwa kepolisian sudah menangkap dan menahan tersangka tidak lama dari aksinya memutilasi dan menggemparkan masyarakat di Dusun Sindangjaya. Menurut Kapolres, tersangka Tarsum (51) telah ditahan untuk pemeriksaan hukum lebih lanjut, termasuk memeriksa kondisi kejiwaan tersangka pada Senin, 6 Mei 2024 oleh tim psikiater.

Dikatakannya bahwa hasil pemeriksaan sementara tersangka mengakui perbuatannya membunuh istrinya sendiri, Yanti (40).

Ia menyebut bahwa kejadian itu berlangsung di kawasan tempat tinggal pasangan suami istri tersebut di Dusun Sindangjaya, Jumat pagi.

Polisi yang mendapatkan informasi itu langsung melakukan olah tempat kejadian perkara, berikut mengamankan terduga pelaku dan juga barang bukti yang digunakan pelaku untuk memutilasi istrinya.

Polisi juga sudah memeriksa sejumlah saksi yang berada di lokasi kejadian. "Untuk motif tentunya kita harus melakukan pendalaman terlebih dahulu, proses penyidikan akan dilakukan lebih cepat," kata Kapolres.

Polisi telah mengevakuasi potongan tubuh korban, kemudian mengamankan benda tajam dan peralatan lainnya yang digunakan oleh pelaku untuk memutilasi korban.
