Museum Nasional Akan Kembali Buka Pasca Revitalisasi Pada 15 Oktober
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Satu tahun setelah kebakaran pada 16 September 2023, Museum Nasional akan kembali dibuka untuk publik pada 15 Oktober mendatang.
Indonesian Heritage Agency (IHA) di bawah naungan Direktorat Jenderal Kebudayaan Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Kemendikbudristek) menjanjikan museum ini dengan peran baru yang lebih besar di masyarakat. Kebakaran yang menghanguskan enam ruang bagian belakang gedung A ini mengharuskan kementerian melakukan revitalisasi dengan berbagai langkah komprehensif.
“Revitalisasi ini bukan sekadar perbaikan infrastruktur, tetapi transformasi yang mendalam, baik secara fisik maupun konseptual, yang menghadirkan museum sebagai ruang interaktif sehingga dapat relevan dengan kebutuhan publik modern,” ujar Plt. Kepala IHA Ahmad Mahendra, Selasa (17/9).
Mahendra berharap, selain sebagai ruang pameran, museum ini juga bisa menjadi pusat interaksi sosial dan edukasi masyarakat.
