MRT Akan Sampai Bekasi! Konstruksi MRT Lin Timur-Barat Mulai Dibangun
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Pembangunan Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Lin Timur Barat Fase 1 Tahap 1 telah dimulai! Presiden Indonesia Joko Widodo telah melakukan seremoni pemancangan, Rabu (11/9) di area konstruksi beranda peron (concourse) Stasiun Thamrin yang merupakan titik interkoneksi antara MRT Lin Utara Selatan dan Timur Barat.
Dalam sambutannya, presiden menyebut MRT telah mengubah wajah transportasi Jakarta. Menurutnya, proyek selanjutnya ini akan memperkuat Jakarta sebagai kota global dan pusat aglomerasi dengan transportasi publik yang modern.
Pj. Gubernur Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono menjelaskan Lin Timur Barat ini akan membentang sepanjang 24,5km dengan 21 stasiun, mulai dari Medan Satria hingga Tomang. Dari 21 Stasiun, ada delapan yang berada di jalur bawah tanah dan sisanya di jalur layang.
