SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Indonesia dan Palestina telah menyetujui kerjasama bilateral yang berfokus pada pengembangan dan promosi kepariwisataan. Hal ini ditandai dengan penandatanganan MoU yang dilakukan Menteri Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno dan Menteri Pariwisata dan Kepurbakalaan Palestina Hani Naji Atallah Abdalmasih di Jakarta, Rabu (4/9).

Menteri Sandiaga menyoroti adanya potensi kolaborasi antara kedua negara dalam sektor pariwisata. Ia menyebut jika Palestina memiliki banyak situs wisata religi yang menjadi favorit wisatawan Indonesia.

"Khususnya nanti pasca-dibukanya kembali perbatasan Palestina untuk para jamaah yang datang dari Indonesia, karena di Palestina ini dua ya, bukan hanya Islam, tapi di Palestina ini juga punya situs-situs untuk wisata religi dari agama lain. Jadi, ini yang nanti juga menjadi bagian daripada kerjasama kita," jelasnya.

Ia mengungkapkan bahwa Menteri Pariwisata Palestina akan mengunjungi Borobudur, situs candi Buddha tertua di dunia, sebagai bagian dari rencana kerja sama yang diharapkan menarik wisatawan Palestina. Ia juga mengatakan, kerja sama ini mencakup berbagai aspek, termasuk pertukaran informasi, teknologi, serta program pertukaran mahasiswa.

Sementara itu, Menteri Abdalmasih berharap dengan kerja sama ini, wisatawan Indonesia ke Palestina bisa mencapai 100.000 orang.
