SEAToday.com, Malang - Balai Besar Taman Nasional Bromo Tengger Semeru (TNBTS) mengeluarkan larangan bagi para wisatawan untuk mendirikan tenda di kawasan Gunung Bromo, Jawa Timur.

Pada Selasa (23/7), TNBTS mengumumkan larangan mendirikan tenda dan berkemah di seluruh kawasan Gunung Bromo dan sekitarnya, hingga batas waktu yang belum ditentukan melalui akun Instagram-nya @bbtnbromotenggersemeru. Larangan ini juga disebut telah dipasang di sejumlah lokasi di kawasan Bromo.

Ketua Tim Data Evaluasi Kehumasan Balai Besar TNBTS Hendra Wisantara menjelaskan larangan ini disebabkan oleh kondisi lokasi dan sarana prasarana yang kurang memadai. Akibatnya, TNBTS memutuskan untuk tidak lagi mengizinkan aktivitas perkemahan. 

Selain itu, langkah ini juga disebut sebagai upaya pencegahan dan antisipasi potensi kebakaran hutan.
