SEAToday.com, Mekkah - Menteri Agama Yaqut Cholil Qoumas mengatakan, Indonesia akan mendapatkan 221.000 kuota jemaah untuk pelaksanaan haji tahun 2025. Hal ini ia sampaikan dalam tasyakuran penutupan penyelenggaraan ibadah haji 1445H di Mekkah, Arab Saudi, Rabu (19/6).
Menteri Yaqut mengapresiasi langkah Kementerian Haji Arab Saudi untuk mengumumkan kuota lebih awal karena dapat mempercepat dimulainya proses persiapan penyelenggaraan. Ia juga mengapresiasi ketegasan otorita dalam menerapkan aturan visa haji dan non-haji.
Menteri Agama menilai, penyelenggaraan haji tahun 2024 M/1445H ini berjalan dengan sukses karena beberapa indikator. Salah satunya adalah angka kuota tidak terserap tahun ini merupakan yang terkecil dalam lebih dari 10 tahun terakhir, meskipun Indonesia merupakan pengirim jamaah terbanyak.
