Paspor Indonesia Dapat Warna, Desain Baru! Diluncurkan 17 Agustus
SEAtoday.com, Jakarta - Direktorat Jenderal (Ditjen) Imigrasi Kementerian Hukum dan Hak Asasi Manusia (Kemenkumham) mengumumkan paspor Indonesia akan berganti desain dan warna pada 17 Agustus 2024, atau bertepatan pada Hari Ulang Tahun ke-79 Republik Indonesia.
Direktur Jenderal (Dirjen) Imigrasi Silmy Karim menjelaskan, pergantian tersebut dilakukan untuk meningkatkan keamanan. Tingkat keamanan dalam desain paspor warna baru diklaim lebih canggih dari uang kertas. Tak hanya ada tanda air dan teknologi hologram, di dalamnya akan disematkan chip elektronik yang memuat data biometrik dan teknik dalam mencetak.
Diyakini, dengan deretan pengaman tersebut, paspor desain dan warna baru tersebut akan sulit dipalsukan.
Penerbitan pertama paspor berdesain baru akan dilakukan pada 17 Agustus 2025, atau setahun setelah desain resminya diluncurkan Agustus ini.
