ICJ Perintahkan Israel untuk Mengizinkan Bantuan Kemanusiaan Masuk ke Gaza Tanpa Hambatan

SEAToday.com, Den Haag - Pengadilan tertinggi Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa (PBB), Mahkamah Internasional (ICJ), Kamis (28/3) memerintahkan Israel untuk memastikan bantuan kemanusiaan dapat masuk ke Gaza tanpa hambatan, karena kelaparan mulai terjadi di Gaza.

 

Keputusan tersebut menyatakan bahwa warga Palestina tidak lagi hanya menghadapi risiko kelaparan, namun kelaparan sudah mulai terjadi. Dalam putusannya yang mengikat secara hukum, ICJ memerintahkan Israel untuk bekerja sama penuh dengan PBB dan mengizinkan bantuan kemanusiaan seperti makanan, air, bahan bakar, dan obat-obatan untuk masuk ke Gaza tanpa hambatan. ICJ juga memerintahkan Israel untuk memastikan bahwa militernya tidak melakukan pelanggaran terhadap hak-hak warga Palestina.

 

Perintah tersebut dikeluarkan setelah Afrika Selatan meminta kembali tindakan sementara dalam kasus genosida terhadap Israel, dengan menyoroti kelaparan di Gaza. Israel, yang telah mendesak pengadilan untuk tidak mengeluarkan perintah baru, mengatakan bahwa mereka tidak membatasi bantuan yang masuk ke Gaza dan menegaskan jika tuduhan tersebut "sepenuhnya tidak berdasar".
