Hari Kedua Kerja, Wapres Gibran Tinjau Proyek Cibubur Sport Center Senilai Rp249 Miliar

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Wakil Presiden Gibran Rakabuming Raka meninjau proyek pusat olahraga Cibubur Youth Elite Sport Center (CYESC) senilai Rp249 miliar di Jakarta Timur.
Proyek ini pun meliputi pembangunan dan renovasi berbagai fasilitas olahraga yang diproyeksikan untuk menjadi pusat pelatihan sejumlah cabang olahraga.
Sejumlah cabang olahraga ini seperi seperti panahan, panjat tebing, renang, dan gymnastic sehingga dapat meningkatkan prestasi altet Indonesia.
"Ini di elite training center Cibubur. Insyaallah selesai akhir Desember," kata Gibran di Cibubur, Jakarta Timur, Selasa (22/10/2024) dilansir Antara.
Ia mengatakan bahwa pusat olahraga ini memiliki fasilitas yang sangat lengkap. Hal ini pun membuat proyek ini sangat strategis dan penting untuk peningkatan prestasi atlet.
Menurutnya, dengan fasilitas yang baik ini, sudah tidak ada alasan untuk menunda pengembangan prestasi atlet.
"Jadi sudah tidak ada alasan lagi. Tempat latihan cukup, kita tinggal genjot prestasinya sesuai standar internasional," pungkas Gibran.
Sementara itu, Menteri Pemuda dan Olahraga Dito Ariotedjo mengemukakan fasilitas olahraga CYESC akan dilengkapi dengan sekolah dan rumah sakit untuk para atlet.
"Nanti juga ada sekolahnya. Dan bahkan fase selanjutnya nanti ada rumah sakit olahraga di sebelah yang kita jadikan pusatnya sport science," ujar Dito Ariotedjo saat mendampingi Gibran.
Ia menjelaskan, pembangunan fasilitas tersebut sebagai langkah strategis pemerintah dalam menyiapkan atlet menuju Olimpiade 2028.
Proyek fasilitas di Cibubur senilai Rp249 miliar itu ditargetkan tuntas pada Desember 2024 sehingga mulai digunakan para atlet pada 2025 mendatang.
Dito pun menugaskan wakilnya Taufik Hidayat untuk mengawal persiapan cabang olahraga prioritas menuju ajang Olimpiade 2028 yang akan digelar di Los Angeles, Amerika Serikat.
