BMKG: 13 Kabupaten-Kota di Sulut Waspada Potensi Bencana Hidrometeorologi

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BMKG) Stasiun Meteorologi Sam Ratulangi Manado menyebutkan sebanyak 13 kabupaten dan kota di Sulawesi Utara (Sulut) perlu mewaspadai potensi bencana hidrometeorologi.
"Kondisi ini diperkirakan terjadi hingga sepekan ke depan," kata Kepala Stasiun Meteorologi Sam Ratulangi Manado, Dhira Utama, Senin (17/2/2025), dilansir Antara.
Daerah-daerah tersebut mencakup Kota Manado, Kota Bitung, Kota Tomohon, Kabupaten Minahasa, Kabupaten Minahasa Utara, Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan, Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow.
Ada juga Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Timur, Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Selatan, Kabupaten Kepulauan Sitaro, Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe dan Kabupaten Kepulauan Talaud.
Berdasarkan analisa kondisi dinamika atmosfer, BMKG memantau nilai anomali Outgoing Longwave Radiation (OLR) menunjukkan anomali negatif dan spasial gelombang Low Frequency dan Kelvin yang bergerak melintasi wilayah Sulawesi Utara memperkuat peningkatan aktivitas konvektif.
Berbagai fenomena atmosfer ini yang mempengaruhi cuaca di wilayah Sulawesi Utara.
Adapun faktor penunjang lainnya seperti potensi terbentuknya pola belokan angin (shearline) dan pertemuan massa udara (konvergensi), kondisi lokal akibat labilitas atmosfer dalam kondisi labil dan kelembaban udara yang tinggi hingga lapisan atas mendukung pertumbuhan awan-awan hujan semakin intens.
Kombinasi fenomena ini yang membentuk kondisi atmosfer sehingga mendukung terjadinya hujan dengan intensitas sedang hingga lebat dalam durasi yang lama disertai kilat/petir dan angin kencang di wilayah-wilayah tersebut.
Masyarakat dan pemerintah Sulawesi Utara pun diimbau untuk tetap waspada terhadap hujan dengan intensitas sedang hingga lebat yang disertai kilat/petir dan angin kencang.
Hal ini sebagai tindakan antisipasi bencana hidrometeorologi (genangan air, banjir, tanah longsor, dan pohon tumbang) dan menghindari aktivitas terutama di wilayah rawan bencana.
Masyarakat diminta untuk terus memantau informasi perkembangan cuaca dan peringatan dini cuaca dari BMKG Sam Ratulangi Manado secara lebih rinci dan detail untuk tiap kelurahan di seluruh wilayah Sulawesi Utara melalui https://cuaca.bmkg.go.id dan kanal-kanal informasi lain
BMKG menerbitkan imbauan kewaspadaan cuaca ekstrem dan waspada potensi bencana hidrometeorologi hingga 23 Februari 2025.
