15 Ekor Rusa Dilepasliarkan di Taman Nasional Baluran Situbondo
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Balai Taman Nasional Baluran Situbondo, Jawa Timur, melepasliarkan sebanyak 15 ekor satwa dilindungi yaitu rusa timor (rusa timorensis), Kamis (6/2/2025).
Rusa-rusa ini merupakan hasil dari sitaan dan penangkaran dari Balai Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam (BKSDA) Yogyakarta.
Pelepasliaran satwa dilindungi ini pun diharapkan bisa kembali hidup bersama habitat lainnya.
"Hari ini kami bersama Komandan Pusat Latihan Tempur Marinir Baluran bersama-sama melepasliarkan 15 ekor rusa hasil sitaan BKSDA Yogyakarta di TN Baluran," ujar Kepala Balai Taman Nasional Baluran Situbondo Johan Setiawan, dilansir Antara.
15 ekor rusa yang dilepasliarkan ini dalam kondisi sehat diharapkan dapat hidup dan lestari di habitat alaminya.
"Taman Nasional Baluran terdiri dari 15 tipe ekosistem, yang mana rusa timor merupakan salah satu jenis satwa ungulata yang asli hidup di kawasan TN Baluran. Rusa timor merupakan salah satu anasir ekosistem yg penting menjaga keseimbangan alam," katanya.
Rusa-rusa yang dilepasliarkan ini pun diharapkan bisa tumbuh dan berkembang dengan baik dan lestari di hutan Taman Nasional Baluran di perbatasan Situbondo-Banyuwangi itu.
