Banjir Rendam 15 Desa di Cirebon, 5.685 Jiwa Terdampak

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Kabupaten Cirebon, Jawa Barat, menyebutkan ada 15 desa di daerah tersebut yang terendam banjir sejak Kamis (23/1) malam.

Banjir yang merendam desa 15 desat di tujuh kecamatan wilayah timur Cirebon tersebut lantaran curah hujan yang tinggi sehingga mengakibatkan beberapa alisan sungai meluap. 

Kepala Pelaksana BPBD Kabupaten Cirebon Deni Nurcahya mengatakan banjir ini dipicu meluapnya tiga sungai utama di wilayah timur yaitu Sungai Ciputih, Singaraja, dan Ciberes. Adapun ketinggian air mencapai 60 cm di sejumlah titik serta merendam ruas Jalan Pantura Cirebon.

Peristiwa ini pun mengakibatkan 5.685 jiwa dari 3.280 Kepala Keluarga (KK) di 15 desa tersebut terdampak banjir.

“Sejak pukul 19.00 WIB banjir mulai menggenangi jalanan dan rumah warga. Meskipun demikian kondisi pada Jumat pagi dilaporkan mulai membaik dengan air yang berangsur surut,” katanya.

Petugas BPBD pun sudah melakukan upaya penanganan dengan melibatkan TNI, Polresta Cirebon, dan relawan untuk membantu evakuasi warga dan mendata dampak bencana tersebut.

Selain itu, BPBD Kabupaten Cirebon juga mencatat ada beberapa kebutuhan mendesak yang diperlukan warga terdampak banjir, seperti makanan, pakaian hangat, selimut, dan logistik lainnya.

“Kami langsung melakukan penyisiran untuk evakuasi dan penanganan cepat. Kami terus berkoordinasi dengan berbagai pihak untuk memastikan keselamatan masyarakat dan penanganan yang efektif,” ujarnya

Dilaporkan bahwa hingga saat ini tidak ada korban jiwa maupun pengungsi akibat banjir tersebut.
