Polda Metro Jaya Bakal Tambah 40 Unit ETLE Mobile

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Direktorat Lalu Lintas Polda Metro Jaya akan menambah 40 unit "Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement" (ETLE) Mobile dengan sasaran 120 juta pelanggar lalu lintas yang tertangkap kamera pada 2025.

"Untuk saat ini ada 10 ETLE Mobile dan mudah-mudahan di tahun 2025 ini, kami juga mendapat bantuan dari pemerintah daerah adalah sekitar 40 ETLE Mobile," kata Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya Komisaris Besar Polisi Latif Usman.

Jumlah ETLE Mobile yang beroperasi ini dapat merekam rata-rata 10 juta pelanggar lalu lintas per bulannya.

"Kalau satu bulan 10 juta, kita rata-rata 10 juta, dikali 12, berarti 120 juta pelanggar, " katanya.

Berdasarkan data Direktorat Lalu Lintas (Ditlantas) Polda Metro Jaya, tercatat jumlah kecelakaan lalu lintas di Jakarta selama 2024 sebanyak 12.555 kasus.

Dari angka tersebut, tercatat 677 pengguna jalan yang meninggal dunia dan 1.794 yang mengalami luka berat.

"Ini menjadi suatu perhatian kita bahwa kalau kita hitung berarti per hari, rata-rata orang di Jakarta ini meninggal dunia adalah dua orang," ujar Latif.

Tingginya angka kecelakan lalu lintas ini pun harus dijadikan atensi tidak hanya oleh polisi, tetapi juga instansi terkait.

"Secara keseluruhan dari sejumlah pihak terkait memang kami yang menangani di lapangan tetapi dari secara keseluruhan kita bertanggung jawab tentang keselamatan saudara kita yang ada di jalan," tuturnya.

Untuk menakan angka fatalitas, perlu dilakukan edukasi dan penegakan hukum yang lebih efektif terhadap para pelanggar.

"Harus ada pemaksa yang bisa menekan, harus bisa memberikan edukasi secara langsung, yaitu penegakan hukum dengan penindakan. Penindakan sekarang yang kita akan lakukan adalah penindakan menggunakan elektronik," katanya.
