SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) menyiapkan Rp7,22 triliun untuk program Padat Karya Tunai (PKT) 2024. Dana ini ditargetkan akan dapat menyerap 297.000 orang tenaga kerja dan mempertahankan daya beli masyarakat pada tahun ini.
Menteri PUPR, Basuki Hadimuljono melaporkan realisasi serapan tenaga kerja pada program PKT tahun lalu telah melebihi target yaitu 105%.
"PKT 2023 menyerap tenaga kerja sebanyak 763.000 orang atau 105% dari target sebanyak 723.000 orang," katanya dilansir dari Antara News, Senin (1/4/2024).
Oleh karena itu, pihaknya saat ini menargetkan serapan tenaga kerja pada bidang sumber daya air 120 ribu orang, bidang jalan dan jembatan 20 ribu orang, bidang permukiman/cipta karya 47 ribu orang, dan bidang perumahan 110 orang.
PKT sendiri berupa kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat khususnya yang miskin dan marginal yang bersifat produktif dengan mengutamakan pemanfaatan sumber daya, tenaga kerja, dan teknologi lokal. Ini memberikan tambahan upah, meningkatkan daya beli, mengurangi kemiskinan, dan sekaligus mendukung penurunan angka stunting.
