Sekolah Diberi Waktu 2 Tahun Lagi untuk Transisi ke Kurikulum Merdeka

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Kemendikbudristek) Kurikulum Merdeka akan diresmikan menjadi Kurikulum Nasional melalui Permendikbudristek Kurikulum Merdeka 2024.
Jika peraturan tersebut sudah resmi diterbitkan, sekolah di Indonesia yang belum berganti ke Kurikulum Merdeka diberi waktu sampai tahun ajaran 2025/2026 atau 2 tahun kedepan untuk masa transisi.
"Regulasi ini akan memberikan kepastian bagi semua pihak tentang arah kebijakan Kurikulum Nasional. Setelah Permendikbudristek ini diterbitkan, sekitar 20 persen unit pendidikan yang belum menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka akan memiliki waktu dua tahun untuk mempelajarinya dan kemudian menerapkannya," jelas Anindito Aditomo, Kepala Badan Standar, Kurikulum, dan Asesmen Pendidikan (BSKAP) Kemendikbudristek, dalam siaran pers pada Selasa (27/2/2024).
Saat ini masih ada beberapa sekolah yang memakai Kurikulum 2013. Pemerintah ingin rancangan permendikbudristek tersebut dapat menjaga kualitas transformasi pendidikan Indonesia.
“Serta menetapkan Kurikulum Merdeka sebagai Kurikulum Nasional. Pada substansinya, naskah ini mengatur terkait tujuan dan prinsip, kerangka dasar dan struktur kurikulum, serta hal-hal terkait implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka,” tambah Zulfikri, Plt Kepala Pusat Kurikulum dan Pembelajaran Kemendikbudristek.
Sekolah dapat menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka secara bertahap dari beberapa kelas terlebih dahulu ataupun langsung untuk semua kelas. Keputusan tersebut kembali ke sekolah masing-masing asalkan masih dalam periode transisi.
