Pemerintah Minta WNI di Jepang Waspada usai Gempa Magnitudo 7,4

SEAToday.com, Tokyo - Pemerintah Indonesia meminta Warga Negara Indonesia (WNI) di Jepang tetap waspada terhadap gempa susulan dan tsunami. Sebelumnya, prefektur Ishikawa di Jepang diguncang gempa bermagnitudo 7,4 pada Senin (1/1/2024).
“Kami mengimbau WNI agar selalu memantau informasi dan arahan otoritas setempat," kata Direktur Perlindungan WNI dan BHI Kementerian Luar Negeri RI Judha Nugraha melalui pesan singkat, Senin seperti dilansir Antara.
Kementerian Luar Negeri, kata Judha, terus berkoordinasi dengan lewat KBRI di Tokyo dan KJRI di Osaka untuk mengetahui dampak gempa dan tsunami.
Menurut Judha, ada sekitar 1.351 WNI yang menetap di prefektur tersebut. “Sistem lapor diri KBRI Tokyo mencatat terdapat 1.315 WNI yang menetap di Prefektur Ishikawa,” kata Judha.
Seperti diketahui, Jepang diguncang gempa bermagnitudo 7,6 pada Senin (1/1) waktu setempat. Badan Meteorologi Jepang pun sempat mengeluarkan peringatan tsunami dan meminta warga mengevakuasi diri ke tempat yang lebih tinggi.
