SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Sebanyak 12 pendaki Gunung Marapi di Kabupaten Agam, Sumatra Barat belum ditemukan. Gunung Marapi yang memiliki ketinggian 2.891 mdpl meletus pada Minggu (3/12/2023).
Dikutip dari Antara, kabar belum ditemukannya 12 pendaki itu dikonfirmasi Hubungan Masyarakat (Humas) Kantor SAR Kota Padang Jody Harryawan. Menurut Joddy dari 75 pendaki, 49 orang sudah turun, 26 orang belum turun, 11 meninggal, 3 selamat dan 12 orang masih dalam pencarian.
Joddy mengungkapkan proses pencarian pendaki pada Senin (4/12/2023) sempat dihentikan dari pukul 10.00 hingga 12.00 WIB. Pasaalnya, Gunung Marapi terus mengalami erupsi sehingga tim harus menyelamatkan diri terlebih dahulu.
Setelah memastikan diri selamat, proses pencarian pun sudah dilanjutkan kembali. Ratusan orang tergabung dalam tim pencarian yang terdiri dari Balai Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam (BKSDA), Badan Pencarian dan Pertolongan Nasional (Basarnas), pemadam kebakaran dll.
