Tentang KTT D-8, Konferensi Internasional yang dihadiri Presiden Prabowo di Mesir

SEAToday.com, Kairo – Pada Kamis (19/12) Presiden Prabowo Subianto menghadiri Konferensi Tingkat Tinggi Developing Eight atau KTT D-8 di Kairo, Mesir. Prabowo tiba di lokasi pertemuan KTT D-8 di Istana Kepresidenan New Administrative Capital.
Setelah tiba di lokasi acara, Prabowo menuju Presidential Hall dan disambut langsung oleh Presiden Republik Arab Mesir Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Keduanya kemudian berjabat tangan sebagai penanda diplomasi dalam pertemuan kedua pemimpin negara.
Prabowo menyempatkan untuk melakukan sesi foto bersama dengan seluruh delegasi 8 negara peserta KTT D-8 yang hadir. Dalam momen berfoto Prabowo tampak berdiri diantara Presiden Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan dan Perdana Menteri (PM) Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif.
Di KTT d-8 Prabowo berbicara pada sesi pleno yang mengangkat tema “Investing in Youth and Supporting SME’s: Shaping Tomorrow’s Economy.” Selain itu, Prabowo juga berbicara mengenai situasi di Palestina dan Lebanon.
Tak lupa di sela-sela kegiatan KTT D-8, Prabowo melakukan pertemuan bilateral dengan sejumlah delegasi negara-negara dalam rangka memperkuat hubungan diplomatik Indonesia dengan para negara sahabat.
Lalu apa itu KTT D-8? KTT D-8 adalah organisasi kerja sama ekonomi antara negara anggota D-8. Negara peserta D-8 adalah negara-negara berkembang seperti Indonesia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Mesir, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, dan Turki.
Para delapan negara anggota D-8 memiliki kepentingan masing-masing dalam upaya kerja sama dengan anggota lain, misalnya dalam bidang investasi, perdagangan, hingga pembangunan.
Keikutsertaan Indonesia dalam keanggotaan di D-8 memberikan dampak yang baik untuk hubungan diplomasi sesama dengan negara berkembang termasuk bisa melakukan kerja sama atau investasi. Tentu saja kemitraan yang strategis bisa bermanfaat untuk Indonesia ke depannya.
Setelah menghadiri KTT D-8 di Mesir, Prabowo langsung meninggalkan negara di Afrika bagian utara tersebut dan bertolak menuju Malaysia. Nantinya Prabowo akan bertemu dengan Perdana Menteri Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim.
