SEAToday.com, Nusantara - Menteri Perhubungan (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi menyebutkan Bandara Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN) ditargetkan bisa beroperasi pada 1 Agustus mendatang. Hal tersebut disampaikan saat Menhub melakukan pengecekan progres pembangunan bandara, Senin (3/6).
“Untuk landas pacu dan gedung terminal, perubahannya signifikan dan terlihat jelas, jika dibandingkan saat saya terakhir kali ke sini pada akhir April lalu. Kemajuan ini tentu sangat menggembirakan,” ujarnya.
Lebih lanjut, progres pekerjaan fisik Bandara IKN telah mencakup beberapa aspek seperti pekerjaan baja, instalasi pipa plumbing, atap, dan lainnya.
Sumadi juga menyebutkan bandara tersebut akan diuji coba pada bulan Juli dan siap dioperasikan untuk memperingati HUT ke-79 Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia pada 17 Agustus mendatang.
