Netanyahu Katakan Pertempuran Sengit di Rafah Hampir Berakhir

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Perdana Menteri Israel Benjamin Netanyahu mengatakan, “fase intens” pertempuran di Rafah Selatan hampir berakhir. Namun, hal tersebut tidak berarti konflik terhenti.

Melansir BBC News, Netanyahu mengaku jika konflik akan terus berlanjut sampai Hamas benar-benar terguling dari kekuasaan. 

Dia menambahkan bahwa militer Israel juga akan segera memobilisasi pasukan kembali ke perbatasan dengan Lebanon, di mana ketegangan dengan Hizbullah sedang meningkat.

Lebih lanjut, Netanyahu juga kembali menolak gagasan bahwa Otoritas Palestina yang berbasis di Tepi Barat harus memerintah Gaza menggantikan Hamas.

“Pada akhirnya, Anda harus melakukan dua hal: Anda memerlukan demiliterisasi militer yang sedang berlangsung oleh Pasukan Pertahanan Israel dan Anda perlu membentuk pemerintahan sipil,” katanya dalam sebuah wawancara televisi Israel.

“Saya akan memberitahu Anda apa yang belum siap saya lakukan, saya belum siap mendirikan negara Palestina di sana, saya belum siap menyerahkannya kepada Otoritas Palestina,” tambahnya.

Sebuah laporan mengatakan jika serangan udara Israel di Kota Gaza telah menewaskan direktur layanan darurat kementerian kesehatan dan pusat distribusi bantuan yang dikelola Hamas.

Konflik yang memanas sejak 7 Oktober 2023 lalu telah menewaskan lebih dari 37.551 termasuk 14.680 anak-anak, perempuan, dan orang lanjut usia.
