Israel Kerahkan Tank ke Tepi Barat untuk Pertama Kali dalam 23 Tahun

SEAToday.com, Teheran - Militer Israel untuk pertama kalinya dalam 23 tahun mengerahkan tank ke wilayah pendudukan Tepi Barat, demikian dilaporkan kantor berita Iran, IRNA, pada Senin (24/2).
Langkah ini menuai kecaman dari kelompok-kelompok Palestina yang menyebutnya sebagai bentuk "aneksasi." Pengerahan tank tersebut merupakan bagian dari operasi penyerbuan dan penangkapan yang semakin intensif oleh Israel, yang dalam lima pekan terakhir telah menyebabkan sekitar 40.000 warga Palestina terusir dari kamp-kamp pengungsi.
Kelompok perlawanan Palestina, Jihad Islam, mengecam tindakan Israel, yang disebut sebagai pertama kalinya sejak berakhirnya Intifada Kedua pada 2005. Jihad Islam, bersama Hamas, terlibat dalam perlawanan terhadap serangan Israel di Jalur Gaza yang telah menewaskan lebih dari 48.000 warga Palestina dan menghancurkan hampir seluruh wilayah tersebut.
Meskipun Hamas dan Israel telah mencapai kesepakatan gencatan senjata bulan lalu, ketegangan di Tepi Barat terus meningkat sejak perang di Gaza dimulai. Serangan Israel di wilayah pendudukan itu pada awal Januari mengakibatkan sedikitnya 60 warga Palestina tewas.
Sementara itu, Masyarakat Tahanan Palestina melaporkan bahwa dalam serangan terbaru Israel, sedikitnya 365 warga Palestina telah ditangkap di Jenin dan Tulkarem. Wali Kota Jenin juga mengungkapkan bahwa kamp pengungsi di kota tersebut mengalami kerusakan besar, dengan 120 rumah hancur total dan banyak lainnya rusak.
Pada Minggu (23/2), Israel menginstruksikan pasukannya untuk bersiap "bertahan lebih lama" di Tepi Barat.
