SEAToday.com, Jakarta – Mulai hari ini, Senin (6/1), Badan Gizi Nasional (BGN) resmi meluncurkan Program Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG). Kepala Humas BGN, Lalu Muhammad Iwan Mahardan, menjelaskan bahwa tahap awal program ini di bulan Januari 2025 difokuskan pada siswa sekolah. Pemerintah menargetkan untuk menyediakan 937 dapur MBG hingga akhir Januari dan meningkatkan jumlahnya menjadi 5.000 dapur pada akhir 2025. Dengan kapasitas ini, program diharapkan bisa menjangkau hingga 20 juta penerima manfaat, termasuk anak usia PAUD hingga SMA, balita, ibu hamil, dan ibu menyusui.
Saat ini, 190 dapur MBG sudah beroperasi di 26 provinsi, mencakup wilayah seperti Aceh, Sumatera Utara, Lampung, Banten, Jawa Barat, Jawa Tengah, Yogyakarta, Papua, dan lainnya.
Sementara itu, beberapa menteri dan pejabat publik meninjau pelaksanaan hari pertama MBG. Di antaranya:
- Hasan Nasbi (Kepala Komunikasi Kepresidenan) mengunjungi dapur SPPG di Bogor, Jawa Barat.
- Wamendagri Bima Arya memantau di sekolah-sekolah di Kota Bogor.
- Menkomdigi Meutya Hafid mengunjungi sekolah di Depok.
- Menteri Koperasi Budi Arie Setiadi memantau dapur umum di Halim Perdanakusuma, Jakarta.
- Wamen Sosial Agus Jabo dan beberapa pejabat lain meninjau lokasi di Jakarta, Karawang, dan Semarang.
BGN menggandeng berbagai pihak untuk mendukung program ini, diantaranya ada BKKBN yang menyediakan data keluarga untuk distribusi makanan dan edukasi gizi. BPOM, untuk menjamin keamanan pangan dan kelayakan fasilitas produksi. Kementerian Desa yang memobilisasi Badan Usaha Milik Desa (Bumdes) untuk pasokan bahan baku dan pengelolaan dapur, dan Perum Bulog yang menyediakan pangan berkualitas dan terjangkau.
Program MBG menjadi langkah nyata untuk mendukung target Indonesia Emas melalui peningkatan gizi masyarakat.
