SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Lima dari sembilan orang narapidana anggota Bali Nine dipindahkan ke Australia pada Minggu (15/12) pagi. Mereka diserahkan kepada pemerintah Australia di Ruang VIP II Gedung Swarawati Bandara Internasional I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Bali.

Kelima napi anggota Bali Nine yang dipindahkan, antara lain, Matthew James Norman, Scott Anthony Rush, Si Yi Chen, Michael William Czugaj, dan Martin Eric Stephens, selanjutnya dimasukkan ke dalam daftar cekal, sesuai dengan hukum Indonesia.

Deputi Koordinator Imigrasi dan Pemasyarakatan Kemenko Kumham Imipas, I Nyoman Gede Surya Mataram, menjelaskan, kelima napi tersebut bersama perwakilan Australia lepas landas dari Bandara Ngurah Rai tepat pukul 10.35 WITA dan mendarat di Darwin, Australia pada pukul 13.12 WITA atau sekitar pukul 14.42 waktu setempat.

Sementara itu, practical arrangement pemindahan lima anggota Bali Nine itu telah diteken oleh Yusril dan Menteri Dalam Negeri Tony Burke secara virtual pada Kamis (12/12).

Bali Nine adalah sebutan bagi sembilan warga Australia yang ditangkap di Bali pada tahun 2005 karena terlibat dalam jaringan penyelundupan narkoba. Mereka diketahui membawa 8,2 kilogram heroin.

Kesembilan narapidana tersebut terdiri dari Andrew Chan, Myuran Sukumaran, Si Yi Chen, Michael Czugaj, Renae Lawrence, Tan Duc Thanh Nguyen, Matthew Norman, Scott Rush, dan Martin Stephens.

Dari sembilan, yang masih menjalani masa hukuman sisa 5 orang. Andrew dan Myuran dieksekusi pada tahun 2015, sementara Renae dibebaskan pada tahun 2018. Tan Duc meninggal dunia pada tahun yang sama saat menjalani hukuman penjara seumur hidup.
