Malaysia Akan Terapkan Opsi Refund Penerbangan Tertunda Lebih Dari 5 Jam Mulai Januari 2025
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Pemerintah Malaysia berencana menerapkan aturan baru yang mengharuskan maskapai memberikan opsi pemulangan dana (refund) kepada konsumen jika penerbangan tertunda lebih dari lima jam dan konsumen memilih tidak melanjutkan perjalanan.
Menteri Transportasi Malaysia Anthony Loke, Kamis (29/8) mengatakan, penyempurnaan Kode Perlindungan Pengguna Penerbangan Malaysia 2016 (Malaysian Aviation Consumer Protection Code/MACPC) selesai dan akan diumumkan pada Senin (2/9). Ketentuan itu akan mulai berlaku pada Januari 2025.
Lebih lanjut, Anthony mengatakan perbaikan MACPC tersebut termasuk kewajiban maskapai penerbangan menawarkan opsi pengembalian dana kepada konsumen dalam metode pembayaran awal yang digunakan saat pembelian tiket. Selain itu, semua penerbangan yang dibatalkan harus dihapus dari semua sistem pemesanan termasuk platform agen perjalanan daring dan luring.
Anthony mengaku, aturan baru tersebut berguna untuk melindungi pengguna dari pembelian tiket penerbangan yang sudah dibatalkan.
