Kemendikbud Hapus Jurusan IPA, IPS, dan Bahasa di Jenjang SMA
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Kemendikbud Ristek) menghapus jurusan IPA, IPS, dan Bahasa di jenjang pendidikan SMA mulai tahun ajaran 2024/2025.
Kepala Badan Standar Nasional Kurikulum dan Asesmen Pendidikan (BSKAP) Kemendikbudristek Anindito Aditomo, Rabu (17/7) mengatakan, peniadaan jurusan di SMA merupakan bagian dari implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka yang sudah diterapkan secara bertahap sejak tahun 2021.
Anindito menjelaskan, pada tahun ajaran 2022 sudah ada 50 persen sekolah yang menerapkan hal itu. Sementara untuk 2024 tercatat sudah sekitar 90-an sekolah yang menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka.
Dengan menghapus penjurusan di SMA, Anindito menyebut Kurikulum Merdeka ini dapat mendorong murid untuk melakukan eksplorasi dan refleksi minat, bakat, dan aspirasi karier. Hal ini juga menghapus diskriminasi terhadap murid jurusan non-IPA dalam seleksi nasional mahasiswa baru.
