Dua Pelajar Indonesia Raih Emas di Kompetisi Matematika dan Bahasa Inggris di Australia
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Dua pelajar Indonesia meraih medali emas di kompetisi Matematika dan Bahasa Inggris di Sydney, Australia, yang digelar pada 14-21 April 2024 di Amity College Sydney. Kedua pelajar tersebut adalah Ronald Rauf Nuria, siswa kelas 10 Sekolah Insan Cendekia Madani yang berkompetisi di ajang The International Mathematics Exam Center (IMEC) 2024, dan Rezvan Arshaq Ardana, siswa kelas 7 dari Sekolah Kesatuan Bangsa Yogyakarta yang berkompetisi di The Junior English Olympiad (JEO). Mereka berhasil unggul di antara 11 negara lainnya yang ikut dalam kompetisi tersebut.
Atase Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Atdikbud) KBRI Canberra Mukhamad Najib menilai, hal tersebut merupakan bukti bahwa pelajar Indonesia memiliki kemampuan yang tidak kalah dari pelajar di negara maju seperti Australia dan Inggris.
Senada dengen Najib, Koordinator Fungsi Penerangan, Sosial dan Budaya (Pensosbud) KJRI Sydney Abdul Nazar turut memberikan apresiasi atas prestasi yang telah dicapai kontingen Indonesia di kompetisi tersebut. Nazar berharap, ke depannya akan ada lebih banyak pelajar Indonesia yang meraih prestasi di kancah Internasional. (DHITA/ DKD)
