Indonesia Resmi Ambil Alih Kontrol Ruang Udara Kepulauan Riau-Natuna dari Kendali Singapura
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Indonesia resmi mengambil alih peraturan ruang udara dengan segala informasi penerbangan atau Flight Information Region (FIR) di wilayah Kepulauan Riau (Kepri) dan Natuna dari kendali Singapura. Ketentuan tersebut efektif mulai Jumat (22/3), setelah penyelesaian perjanjian ulang ruang udara dengan pemerintah Singapura.
Menteri Perhubungan (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi pada Minggu (24/3) mengatakan, perjanjian tersebut menambah luas FIR Jakarta menjadi 2.842.725 kilometer persegi, atau bertambah 9,5 persen dari luas semula. Selain itu, kini pesawat yang terbang di wilayah pengaturan ulang FIR tersebut akan mendapatkan layanan navigasi penerbangan dari Indonesia, tidak perlu kontak navigasi penerbangan Singapura seperti sebelumnya.
Menteri Sumadi menyampaikan, pemerintah berupaya semaksimal mungkin untuk memastikan pengelolaan ruang udara Indonesia berlangsung selamat, efektif, sesuai kepentingan nasional, dan memenuhi pelayanan jasa penerbangan sipil yang berstandar internasional. Ia optimistis bahwa pengalihan FIR ini akan memberikan dampak positif bagi Indonesia, khususnya dalam hal pemasukan negara. (DHITA/ DKD)
