SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Kuota Haji Indonesia untuk tahun 2024 resmi ditetapkan sebanyak 241 ribu jemaah. Jumlah ini meningkat sebanyak 20 ribu dibanding tahun sebelumnya, yakni 221 ribu jemaah. Keputusan ini ditetapkan dalam rapat Panitia Kerja (Panja) Biaya Penyelenggaraan Ibadah Haji (BPIH) 2024 Komisi VIII DPR RI dan Kementerian Agama (Kemenag) di Senayan, Jakarta, Senin (27/11).
Ketua Panja BPIH Komisi VIII DPR RI, Abdul Wachid, menjelaskan bahwa kuota 241 ribu tersebut dialokasikan untuk haji reguler dan haji khusus. Jemaah haji reguler mendapat kuota sebanyak 221.720 dan jemaah haji khusus sebanyak 19.280.
Selain penetapan kuota, rapat tersebut juga mengesahkan BPIH dan Biaya Perjalanan Ibadah Haji (Bipih) yang akan ditanggung oleh para jemaah. Pemerintah bersama dengan DPR RI menyepakati bahwa biaya haji tahun 2024 yang akan ditanggung oleh jemaah adalah sebesar 56 juta rupiah.
