Pemerintah Kabupaten Bekasi Targetkan Wilayah Bebas BAB Sembarangan di 2024
SEAToday.com, Bekasi - Pemerintah Kabupaten Bekasi terus berupaya mewujudkan target 100% wilayah bebas dari praktik buang air besar (BAB) sembarang atau Open Defecation Free (ODF) pada tahun 2024.
Dalam kunjungan tim verifikasi sanitasi total berbasis masyarakat (STBM) tingkat provinsi baru-baru ini, Penjabat Bupati Bekasi Dedy Supriyadi, menegaskan kembali tekad pemerintah daerah untuk mengakhiri praktik tidak sehat tersebut.
"Kabupaten Bekasi terus mengimplementasikan bebas dari praktek buang air besar sembarangan di seluruh penjuru wilayah," ujarnya, Senin (26/8).
Pelaksana harian Sekretaris Daerah Kabupaten Bekasi Jaoharul Alam melaporkan bahwa hingga akhir tahun 2023, persentase penanganan praktik buang air besar sembarang telah mencapai 23 persen.
Capaian ini merupakan hasil dari berbagai upaya yang telah dilakukan, termasuk sosialisasi, pembangunan fasilitas sanitasi, dan perbaikan infrastruktur.
Melalui Dinas Perumahan Rakyat, Kawasan Permukiman, dan Pertanahan Kabupaten Bekasi, pemerintah daerah sudah membangun Sistem Pengolahan Air Limbah Domestik Setempat (SPALD-S) di berbagai wilayah kecamatan se-Kabupaten Bekasi.
"Ketika mengeluarkan larangan, maka harus menyediakan infrastruktur. Jamban, toilet yang memenuhi standar hingga sarana penunjang lain," pungkasnya.
