Taman Nasional Komodo akan Ditutup Sementara Tahun Depan untuk Pemulihan Kawasan

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif telah mengonfirmasi penutupan sementara Taman Nasional Komodo di Nusa Tenggara Timur pada kuartal kedua 2025 mendatang. Keputusan ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi peningkatan jumlah wisatawan, meningkatkan pengelolaan destinasi, dan memastikan keberlanjutan taman nasional.

"Rencana ini kami pertimbangkan secara matang, dengan memperhatikan jumlah pengunjung, pengelolaan destinasi, dan daya tampung taman nasional," ujar Adyatama Kepariwisataan dan Ekonomi Kreatif Ahli Utama Kemenparekraf Nia Niscaya, Senin (22/7).

Meskipun mengakui adanya tantangan dalam mengedukasi masyarakat tentang upaya pemulihan ekosistem, Nia menekankan dampak positif yang akan dihasilkan inisiatif ini terhadap destinasi wisata.

“Di sana kan ada aktivitas snorkling, diving, desa wisata, dan ada beberapa pulau yang harus kita siapkan,” ujarnya.
