Presiden Jokowi Salurkan Bantuan Kemanusiaan Rp35,5 M untuk Papua Nugini dan Afganistan
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Presiden Joko Widodo melepas pengiriman bantuan kemanusiaan pemerintah Indonesia untuk Papua Nugini dan Afganistan. Pelepasan bantuan senilai 35,5 miliar rupiah ini dilakukan di Pangkalan TNI AU Halim Perdanakusuma, Jakarta, Senin (8/7).
Bantuan tersebut ditujukan untuk korban bencana alam, yaitu tanah longsor di Papua Nugini pada Mei 2024 dan gempa bumi di Afganistan pada Oktober 2023 silam.
"Bantuan yang kita kirimkan ke Papua Nugini senilai 18 miliar rupiah dalam bentuk obat-obatan, makanan tambahan, hygiene kit dan juga bantuan ke Afganistan ada 10 jenis bantuan senilai 17,5 miliar rupiah," kata Presiden Jokowi.
Presiden melepas delegasi dengan berpesan agar menjalankan misi kemanusiaan itu menjalankan amanah sebaik-baiknya, menjaga keselamatan, dan kembali ke Indonesia dalam keadaan sehat.
“Semoga bantuan ini dapat membantu meringankan saudara-saudara kita di Papua Nugini dan di Afganistan, dan membuat mereka segera bangkit kembali,” pungkas Presiden.
Sementara itu dalam kesempatan terpisah, Kepala Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB) Suharyanto menuturkan bahwa pengiriman bantuan kemanusiaan ini merupakan bentuk kepedulian bangsa Indonesia kepada Papua Nugini dan Afganistan. Suharyanto mengatakan, distribusi bantuan rencananya akan dilakukan dengan menggunakan pesawat komersial dan kargo.
“Pendistribusian langsung kami bawa menggunakan dua pesawat yaitu satu pesawat Garuda A330 Airbus, yang satu lagi pesawat kargo,” ujarnya.
Turut hadir dalam pelepasan bantuan tersebut yaitu Menteri Koordinator Bidang Pembangunan Manusia dan Kebudayaan Muhadjir Effendy, Menteri Luar Negeri Retno Marsudi, Menteri Kesehatan Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Sekretaris Kabinet Pramono Anung, Panglima TNI Jenderal Agus Subiyanto, Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Ketua Komisi VIII DPR RI Ashabul Kahfi, Wakil Duta Besar Papua Nugini Gregory Hombuahin, dan Head of Delegation IFRC Jakarta Office Elkhan Rahimov.
