Dampak Mudik Lebaran, Bandara Soekarno-Hatta Jadi Bandara Tersibuk di Asia Tenggara pada April 2024
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Lembaga penyedia data perjalanan global asal Inggris, OAG Aviation Worlwide, menobatkan Bandara Soekarno-Hatta (Soetta) menjadi bandara paling sibuk di kawasan Asia Tenggara pada April 2024 berdasarkan jumlah kapasitas kursi bandara, yaitu sebanyak 3,34 juta kursi.
Dalam rilis resmi PT Angkasa Pura II, Rabu (17/4), VP of Corporate Communication Cin Asmoro mengatakan jika periode angkutan lebaran yang berlangsung pada 3-18 April kemarin menjadi faktor utama yang mendorong Bandara Soetta menjadi bandara tersibuk.
“Periode angkutan lebaran selama 16 hari ini turut mendorong Bandara Soekarno-Hatta menjadi yang tersibuk di Asia Tenggara. AP II selaku operator bandara bersama dengan maskapai, serta didukung penuh regulator, mampu memenuhi tingginya permintaan yang ada selama peak season angkutan lebaran,” ungkap Cin.
Selama periode mudik tersebut, destinasi paling populer dari Bandara Soetta adalah menuju Denpasar dengan jumlah penumpang sebanyak 336.610 orang, disusul dengan Medan dengan penumpang 251.699 orang, kemudian Surabaya dengan penumpang 197.731 orang, Makassar dengan penumpang 170.596 orang dan Padang dengan penumpang 166.218 orang.
Pada tahun ini, OAG juga menobatkan Bandara Soekarno-Hatta sebagai bandara yang paling pulih dari dampak pandemi COVID-19 untuk kawasan Asia Pasifik, dengan meraih medali emas kategori The Most Recovered Airport dalam Asia-Pacific (ASPAC) Aviation Network Champions yang berlangsung pada Maret 2024.
